Executive Team
Marc Hedlund is a co-founder and CEO.
Before starting Wesabe, Marc was entrepreneur-in-residence at O’Reilly Media, where he developed the ideas behind Wesabe. Prior to O’Reilly, he was VP of engineering at Sana Security, an enterprise software startup developing an “immune system” for protecting servers from worms and hackers. Marc co-founded and was CEO of Popular Power, a distributed computing startup. He also founded and led Lucas Online, the internet subsidiary of Lucasfilm, Ltd; was director of engineering at Organic Online; and was CTO at Webstorm, where he wrote one of the Internet’s first shopping cart applications in 1994. Marc is a graduate of Reed College.
Brad Greenlee is VP, Products.
Brad joined Wesabe as the first engineer and was responsible for building much of the foundation of Wesabe. Prior to Wesabe, he was the lead engineer at Triporama, a group travel planning service, an independent consultant whose clients included McKinsey & Co., and an engineer and product manager at iSyndicate, a content syndication site. He was also the co-founder and CTO of iSYS Hungary, one of Hungary’s first ISPs and web design and consulting firms. Brad graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Computer Science.
Sam Quigley is VP, Security and Operations.
Sam began his career at Fiderus Strategic Security and Privacy Services, where he provided consulting services for Fortune 500 companies in the New York metro area. When EDS purchased Fiderus, Sam became a founding member of the first commercial IT security and privacy services division at EDS. More recently, before joining Wesabe, Sam was responsible for all security, audit, and compliance functions at Xign Corporation (now the J. P. Morgan "Order to Pay" treasury automation service). Sam is a graduate of the University of Chicago; in his spare time, he enjoys finding vulnerabilities in the websites of large multinational organizations.
Magera Moon is Creative Director.
Magera leads all design and interface implementation for Wesabe. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Design. Prior to Wesabe, she interned at Viewers Like You, doing identity and publication design, and at EM Dash, both in Austin. Magera is also an accomplished photographer, and has worked as a concert and event photographer for the annual SXSW Festival in Austin.
Paul Blankinship is Manager, Support and Training.
Paul joined Wesabe after working for many years creating technical documentation and user-centered information design. Prior to Wesabe, Paul worked for creative digital media companies, including Pixar Animation Studios and the Digidesign division of Avid technologies. Before entering the world of technology, Paul played jazz piano in fine restaurants and hotels in San Francisco. He still plays casuals, and looks forward to any opportunity to wear his midnight blue tuxedo.
